One official copy of all previous college transcripts, with certified English translations of any transcripts in a foreign language. It is highly recommended to submit an electronically complete application. Upload your unofficial transcript (in pdf format) and have your recommenders submit through the online application, Apply Yourself. If you were offered admission, official transcripts will be requested at that time and sent to the address listed below. Do not submit your application without GRE scores. Personal Statement:
Make sure to include a description of your interests and research experiences. Be sure to mention specific members of our faculty whom you think would be appropriate mentors for you as you pursue these interests at Stony Brook. Although there is not a word limit, it is advised to keep your Personal Statement concise.
Recommendation Letter:
Letters of recommendation are an important aspect of the application. Ideally, letters should come from individuals with whom you have worked closely and who know you well, such as research mentors, advisors, professors, and clinical supervisors (in the case of clinical applicants).The Graduate School requires three letters of recommendation.
